Hour #1 is history, and we missed our $600 goal for the hour by around $50. Goal for hour #2 is again $600, and as of 1:55pm, we have made that goal. Hour #3 we made out $600 goal and a little more. Hour #4 we would like to raise $1000 for a strong finish.  They will total up the pledges, and I will post it.

Thanks to all who pledged to support the show…Jim Davis

Eldridge Holmes, New Orleans performer at the end of our first set recorded from the 60’s into the 70’s with no chart success but a great regional following, and listening to his “Cheatin’ Woman” at the end of the first set, easy to see why. Need to find more of his material.

Nest week, we have our fundraiser for 8Trackflashback and WNCU, been finding some great premiums for donor who support the program. You can find descriptions of some of the recent ones I’ve found on the “premiums” page listed at the top….

Nice weather today in North Carolina, and this Saturday finds us two weeks away from our spring fund drive at WNCU. so I need to find some premiums to give you an incentive to call in and support 8trackflashback besides your interest and support for the show.

To that end, is there something in particular you would suggest I find? Lots of great music out there….just post to the website.

The Saturday I will be on the air fundraising is the 24th, but you can go to the www.wncu.org website and make a pledge, just indicate that it is in support of 8trackflashback.

Financial support is essential for specialty shows like 8trackflashback to stay on the air on public, listener supported radio stations liek WNCU, and in fact for stations like WNCU to stay on the air at all!!!

Thanks, Jim Davis
